If you are looking for the perfect gift to commemorate a significant occasion, or even a special piece of jewellery for yourself, then bespoke jewellery could be the perfect solution to provide that personal touch. Lucy has worked on many bespoke pieces for customers to create extra special pieces; below are just a few examples. If you are thinking about commissioning a bespoke piece in a distinctive style, then please get in touch to discuss your ideas.
Please let Lucy know any ideas you have for your bespoke piece (you may have something specific in mind or just a vague idea of theme etc.) and preferably an idea of budget. If it is something that she is able to undertake for you, the next stage is to draw a design based on your information. This process can take anything from a few days to a few weeks depending on the amount of design work needed. The drawing and quote is then sent to you by email for approval.
Some commissions are fairly straightforward and some commissions require a longer time of designing, sketching and communicating with the client before work can start on making the design in metal.
Due to the complex process of making a commissioned piece the cost can vary greatly and each commission is quoted for individually. Pricing is affected by the amount of research, design work, craftsmanship and of course choice and weight of precious metals involved in making each individual piece.
Occasionally it is impossible to make the clients preferred piece within their budget but this can often be resolved by making a simpler design or one which uses less precious materials.
Due to the extra work involved in making a one-off piece, the price of a commissioned piece is usually slightly higher than pieces that Lucy designs and makes for her usual collection.
When you are happy with the final design and the quote is agreed - work on your bespoke piece can begin!
When work is about to start work on your bespoke jewellery, a 50% non-refundable deposit of the full cost is required.
The remainder of the balance is required only when your commission is nearly complete, with payment prior to posting of your item.
All jewellery is sent using royal mail next day delivery which is insured and requires a signature.
As a bespoke piece is created specifically for the receiving person, unfortunately a refund is not available on a commissioned or personalised item.
